MFS - MFS earned income isn't right

Problem:  TP earned income (wages) are split 50/50 for the IRA contribution deduction calculation. Everything else is good.

I want the Spouse Traditional IRA contribution to be deducted on the MFS_MFJ worksheet but it isn't.

This is CALIF but I think all boxes are checked to split all income and deductions according to the TP/S/Joint boxes on the input forms.  his wages are marked for TP and Spouse wages are marked for Spouse and so on. And Form 3 box to Apply community property rules is 1.

Split the returns into two MFS returns (via the Tools menu, Split joint return), then go into the spouse's MFS tax return to figure out why the IRA deduction isn't computing. Look at the tax forms, worksheets, etc.
