Ok, I have a client who receives the medicaid payments to care for her disabled sister who lives with her. So, she meets the requirements for the payments to be non-taxable.
My problem is the entries on screen 14.1 have changed, I did not pickup on the change last year. In Lacerte 2019 there was a box "Medicaid waiver payments to care provider" this would put the "Notice 2014-7" statement on the Sch 1 line 8. Well, LACERTE, changed it last year and that entry box is no longer there. In it's place is something similar, but it has to do with wages on a W-2.
When I put the 1099-NEC amount in other income, I cannot seem to get the same "Notice 2014-7" statement to populate. ANYONE have an answer for this? Thank you in advance.
