lacerte client menu status does not update and will not save changes. any fix?

Press the Windows key > Type "2019 Lacerte Web Setup" > hit Enter
That will start the regular install which is much cleaner than the update process. Replace 2019 with any of the year, e.g. 2018 which has recent updates, to start the clean install of it.
