Here we go again! Lacerte tried this about two months ago and finally got enough blowback that they stopped. When changing client status to Final they were causing a delay of about 45 seconds to go through and come back with the marketing pop up add for buying efile signatures. Finally took it off from client status, but now tonight they are bringing it back during a backup!! Same problem, I merely want to back up the file and get the heck out of here but have to wait for Lacerte to send the popup ad (about 45 seconds delay and complete freezing up of my system while waiting). Infuriating waste of my time! Do NOT want this kind of sleazy marketing BS shoved down my throat!!! Especially when we just went through a tax season with the horrendous problems doing backups (which never really got fixed!!)!
