Printing one-sided and two-sided pages

Is there a way to print the tax return so that the letter, invoice, and e-file form are printed on one side and the complete return is printed in duplex?

Duplex seldom gives what we hope. One page schedules will print one one side and two page schedules will use two sides, but not necessarily on the same sheet of paper. Lacerte really does not support duplex printing.

Just for fun, I once printed a return using 16 up (i.e.16 pages per side), duplex printing. You could generally get a pretty complicated return on just one or two sheets of paper.

So you were the creator of the first “postcard” return.

That's a function of your printer driver, not Lacerte's.  So long as single-sided and duplex printing are supported by your printer driver, the option is yours.

I suppose duplex printing of the return is for your client copy and would not suggest filing a paper return in duplex as the IRS/state DOR will likely miss out on pages.

Thank you very much for your response!  I know how to set the printer settings to print in duplex.  What I am wondering is if it is possible to set the return to print in duplex but just those three pages in single side mode without having to change the settings with each return I print.

How about setting up a duplication of your default printer so that you can have different default settings for both, one for single-sided and the other one duplex?  Send the print jobs that require single-sided printing to one and those for duplex to the other.
