The Lacerte Individual Tax Return has October 15, 2021, as the Tax payment due date:
"Make your check payable to the "United States Treasury" and mail your Form 1040-V payment
voucher on or before October 15, 2021 to..."
And for the State:
"Mail your Arizona payment voucher on or before October 15, 2021 and make your check payable
to..."
From the IRS site, "...Individual taxpayers who need additional time to file beyond the May 17 deadline can request a filing extension until Oct. 15...by filing Form 4868 does not grant an extension of time to pay taxes due..."
I updated the client database, to no avail.
I see that there is a potential per-client workaround, but is there anything that can be done globally?

Screen 5 > Client Letter > 4th entry is Due date of return [O]
If you don't want to put a specific date, then 3 items lower you can enter a 1 to make it as soon as possible.
"has October 15, 2021, as the Tax payment due date"
It states "on or before."
Agreed but as mentioned, the IRS site specifically states that the payment date is not extended.
1) Edit the letter
2) Put the date you prefer in the penalties screen.
There really shouldn't BE anything owed, as all *should* have been paid by 5.15.21.
