have listed many assets to schedule G, need to insert a line for a new assets between assets #4 and #5, how to insert a line into schedule G

Just add a new one. You do not get to choose which item number.

I thought there was a way to insert an item on schedule G.  for example say you listed all cash accounts then listed all the real estate assets but discovered that one cash account had been omitted, instead of adding the omitted cash account to the end of the real estate there was a way to add an item to schedule G then move it to another spot on Schedule G, I remember you had to click on "cut" , but cannot locate...

You could go back and type over a previous item and then add that item at the end of the listing. Deleting an item makes that item number go away FOREVER. Lacerte lacks flexibility with any of its listings of this type.

you can  insert a new item into Schedule G in between two items that have already been input. .  You add the item you want to insert to the Schedule G. then you Highlight the new  item, go up to Detail, hit Cut, then go to the item on Schedule G that is above where you want to inset the new item, go to Detail, then hit Paste,
