@Cindy8 - Go to Screen 54.011. Info entered there will activate the F 199.
And bonus tip for the day - Lacerte has this snifty feature:
Go to the form where you expect the info/amount to appear. Right click on that field, then click on "jump to input". That will *usually* take you to where you to input the info (or give you the various options when there are multiple places).
My I ask why you're wanting/trying to prepare this in the corporation module? Usually a Form 199 would be prepared in the exempt org module. So you'd setup a 990 for federal, and marking CA as the state would generate a 199.
Karl,
Thank you for the response, this is an HOA Corporation and I do agree that usually the form 199 is prepared in the exempt module however the previous tax preparer prepared the 199 form within the corporation module and there is form 199 under the CA selection within the corporation module I just cannot figure out how to get the form to active and get the information into the form.

YVW....
I am in the same boat, but when I enter the data in 54.011, it is still not triggering the form even when I tell it to force the form. (lacerte 2018)
Thanks, Andrew Newman CPA Davis, CA
Did you click the box "exempt under § 23701t ?
Force without fee or with fee?
Clicked the box "Carry 1120 info?
Clicked the box "Eliminate F 100?
I have all those things done, and I get F 199
Maybe there's something in setting that suppresses it?
Thank you. That did it. I did not have all those boxes checked.
Any clue *which* one triggered it? 'Cuz I don't 🙂
(BTW - I'm in Tahoe. Me & a former pooch spent too much time at UC Davis Vet Hospital)
I really don't!! Wow you are in Tahoe!!! Jealous.
43 years... I feel very lucky. Except when we have 4' of snow in 36 hours, or no power for 5 days <w>.
