Can we e-file form 4868 without the spouse SSN? It's a Married Filing Separately taxpayer. If I put 999-99-9999 for the SSN, it seems to work, is there another way?

Filing status is not shown on the extension. You could temporarily delete the spouse info, or change to Single, and file the extension. Don't change the extension numbers, though. Then change it back. i have a feeling that 999 won't go through.

The more I know, the more I don't know.
