How do I know if an electronic balance due payment has been made? Is there some indication in Lacerte or do I need to wait until my client gets their bank statement (at which time any payment would then be late if it was not made through Lacerte like we originally thought)?

There is currently no way we can verify that a payment has been made. Your best option is to print the Payment Record, which shows the bank information, payment amount, and date of withdrawal. This information is what is sent with the return in the e-file to the IRS and/or state agencies.
