ProSeries Login Error: Unable to validate your Login Credentials
Description

When logging into Manage Users the zip code may not match the information we have on record resulting in the error message below:

"Unable to validate your Login Credentials"

Solution:
  1. From the Start Menu, select All Programs and find the ProSeries 20XX install folder and click to open. (XX=tax year)
  2. Select Update to get the most recent version of the program.
  3. Once the update completes, continue with these steps.
  4. From the Start Menu, select All Programs and find the ProSeries 20XX install folder and click to open. (XX=tax year)
  5. Connected Customer.
  6. This will launch the Connected Customer wizard.  Click Next.
  7. In the Customer Information window, review the "SOLD TO" Zip code.
  8. Update the zip code with your billing zip code used to place the order and click Next.
  9. The next process completed is licensing the software.
  10. If you receive a licensing error message, repeat steps 1-6 to update your customer information zip code with the prior "SOLD TO" Zip code.
  11. If an error is not received, the wizard will continue through the licensing process, checking for updates and then prompt for the Manage Users login.
If the error is received again:
  1. Close the ProSeries application.
  2. Click Start and type notepad.exe in the Search box
  3. Choose File->Open and navigate to the Olac.ini file path; (? = drive program is installed to) ?:/ProWinXX/Common/Olac.ini.
  4. Rename Olac.ini file to OlacOLD.ini
  5. Save and Close the file.
  6. Open the ProSeries application, relicense your software (Tools>License Products) and then complete the Manage Users log in process.
