2023 Lacerte Update Broken Latest SDK

    Steffan

It seems the latest update to 2023 Lacerte no longer works with the latest Lacerte SDK for the Individual and Partnership modules.

    Can anyone else confirm?

Is there an ETA on an update to the SDK?

    Thanks,

    Steffan

    Broken here as well.

It seemed to break with the 44.0221 update.  It's only Individual and Partnership tax types that are impacted, though it's the bulk of our business.

I sent an email to support early morning and they replied indicating that plan to release an updated SDK  tomorrow.

Lucky me, Individual and Partnerships are the bulk of ours as well 🙂

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately for us as well, we adopted some new software this year that depends on the SDK and this is preventing us from working on those returns. 😕

This has happened at least three times previously that I can think of (this would be the fourth) when they release a new update to Lacerte, and it breaks the SDK. I, too, am out of business when this is broken. I am starting to wonder if it is my mistake to rely on Lacerte to produce a quality product. I don't want to switch, but I may have to, as the lost production they are costing me every time they do this probably can pay for the hassle of switching.

I strongly believe that the SDK should be tested against Lacerte before an update is released and if there is an incompatibility, both programs should have updates released at the same time.

A lot of our apps depend on this connectivity and when it doesn't work it causes real losses of productivity.

A few months ago, we were without the SDK for over a week - I want to say it was WEEKS, but I can't remember for certain.

I sure hope we get an update by tomorrow...

If you use Lacerte 44.0221 or later it is mandatory to upgrade Lacerte SDK to the latest. This is important for your TY23 integrations to work with SDK
