The following diagnostic is generating: "e-file: If form DR 0104 checkbox for deceased is marked and the return is claiming a refund, Form DR 0102 must be submitted." In order to generate Colorado form DR 0102 you have to activate federal form 1310, and in doing so you can't electronically file. This taxpayer does not need to file federal form 1310. How can I generate Colorado's form DR 0102 without activating federal form 1310?

I have kind of the same problem. Taxpayer died in 2021, his son is court appointed executor, and the return has a refund. Instructions for 1310 (rev. December 2021) says I do not need to file the 1310, but I do need to attach a copy of court certificate showing appointment to the return. Why is Lacerte diagnostic telling me I need to file form 1310? I believe IRS changed their requirements with form 1310 this year and Lacerte maybe didn't update the software?
