The following diagnostic is generating:

Disposition # {PrefixNum} : Date acquired missing.

Solution:

1. Click on the diagnostic from the Diagnostics tab or go to Income>Screen 17 Dispositions.
2. In the Dispositions (Schedule D, 4797, etc.) find the Date Acquired (negative date=various).
3. Enter the date, in m/d/y format, on which the taxpayer acquired the property. To print "Various" as the date, enter the date as a negative number (-m/d/y). The program uses the date entered to calculate the holding period; therefore, the date entered must be valid.

Critical, will prevent e-file transmission.
