e-fil: Arizona will not accept decedent returns for e-file unless the return is filed by the surviving spouse. (ref #10466)

I searched the Arizona state website and did not find anything about disallowing e-filing for deceased taxpayers if not filed by surviving spouse. The prior year tax return was e-filed by H&R Block successfully. Is Intuit's software not up to date with Arizona e-filing rules? Please update to allow for e-filing.

The Arizona Department of Revenue states, 

"Most software vendors are approved to file Form 131 with the return electronically but verify before filing."

If you follow the link for "approved" at that website, it shows four Intuit programs:  Lacerte, ProConnect, and (on the same line) TurboTax and ProSeries.  These four are all approved for Form 131.

 

The State of Colorado says the same thing.
