4 or 5 years ago.....you should be good to go.

the alimony deduction is eliminated for any divorce or separation instrument entered into after December 31, 2018, and the ex-spouse receiving the support payments is no longer be required to include the support payments in income.

But the divorce was prior to 2018. was at least 2015 or 2016

Then it's taxable. 

Yes I know. I have been doing this tax return since before the divorce. So again I ask, What line on what

schedule to I report alimony received. In the past it has been defined. Not this year!!! Grrr!!!

Divorces are always so fun for tax preparers, are they not? Sometimes it can give a bottle of Tylenol a headache... Just my opinion

Did you not see the post..... Schedule 1, How much more clearer can it be.

2a on Schedule 1 is Gambling winnings on my version of the Tax return.

Schedule 1 in all of America on line 2a is alimony received for 2020.

You must not be looking at schedule one
