I've been buying ProSeries Professional for a whole lot of years.   I have tried to call sales in Intuit and the bot resisted very strongly, but I finally got a human, with an absolutely unintelligible foreign accent.  Intuit does not want to talk with us about these things.   

I see two options:

Pay $600 less and buy it now, and either pay it now or put off paying until February of next year.   I did that last year and discovered you have to pay it all at once; I couldn't make payments over the year.  

Lose the $600 discount and buy the program next January.

I am a healthy, very active tax preparer who has an enormous, loyal clientelle and my 81st birthday is in June. Anything could happen between now and next January.   If I buy it now and I'm not doing taxes, not by my choice, next January, can the order be cancelled?   Or are my heirs on the hook for $10K for something nobody could use but me?
