Fix Issues or shut EasyACCT down already

s-gibbens

This is the 2nd year in a row that the new updates at the beginning of a year have caused absolute chaos with our clients. This year after the updates, whenever we run a payroll journal for 2025, EasyACCT is returning correct paychecks from January through June 2025, but it skips July completely, and in August, brings in August, September, October, November, and December 2024 payroll checks. To find the 2nd half of 2025 payroll checks, we have to print a journal from 2026. To make it even better, this is our largest client with well over 1,200 payroll checks issued and the best advice the technicians can give me is to manually re-enter the checks. Unacceptable. It doesn't do it on every client, it did it on our worst one possible and another relatively small client. Who knows how many of our ~30 payroll clients we'll have to do this for. January is already difficult enough but we have to deal with major software issues on top of it for the 2nd year in a row. I'm fuming. This is the last straw with EasyACCT. We are looking elsewhere after this busy season.

I've had my payrolls of the 26th generate the reports with a zero earnings & taxes page.  Payrolls before this week were fine and the reports were correct.  The reports were also fine when I print one before the checks were posted.  After the checks are posted, it zeros out the earnings page.   I ran the payroll on another machine in the office that hadn't done the last update, and it was fine.  Has anyone else experienced this??

I have never seen a software company leave so many customers stranded!! We have paid the money and yet here it is January 28, 2026 and it looks like we won't be able to process the W2s and 1099s by January 31st. Our clients will be subject to late penalities! This is unacceptable!!!

Update on zero earnings and taxes page.  I reinstalled the original version  of the program and everything went back to normal.  Warning--DO NOT install any new updates.  The last 2 updates are not a fix and were the problem.  I have not had any problems with transfers to information return.  I shudder to think how things will be when they have a new box for exempt overtime.
