Yeah, i don’t have any clients with W-2s over minimum wage🙄.
My point is, if you know the software is using the wrong cap, you know it’s wrong but if your memory is real bad and you can’t remember the cap write the amounts on a post it pad and stick it on your computer screen. It isn’t going to prevent you from properly preparing the W-2s, so it isn’t going to put your practice on hold.

Hey that's close enough right? I don't have a FIRE login so I'm having to type in 1099's by hand even though the software should be able to make that file.

Remind me of why we pay for this program.
Seems like they assign their lowest paid trainee software engineer to prepare the updates.
No pre issue testing or supervision required.

But they are getting closer to the right year. Someone posted early on that their W-3 had 2014 for the date.

I'm currently using Information Return System version 2024.2.01 and the only problem I seem to be having is it using the 2023 limit on the electronic filing of W-2's.

Well, I'd call that a heck of a problem.
I called and they said they were aware of the issue. Small comfort.
Maybe they want you to divide the W2 into as many pieces as it takes to stay below the 2023 limit...
Must be the Bangladesh way.

But on the bright side, that isn't a critical error. They could have broken the software a lot worser than that if they tried a little harder. 😅

Payroll returns prepared, but I cannot file with Social Security.
My landlord is renovating and kicking me out of my office January 31.
If theses darlings wait till then to fix this, I have a problem.
