Thank you for taking the time on our last update post to let us know what is and is not working for the EasyACCT program.
At this time, we do not have an estimated timeline for all fixes. With the current 2025.2.05.583 release, the following items are included in the update:
Please continue to bring forward feedback and share what is and is not working directly on this update post. Centralizing feedback here will help ensure items are captured more quickly and reviewed efficiently. Each item shared on the last update post was provided to our support and development teams for review and we will continue to do so.
If you are still experiencing any of the items listed above after installing Version 2025.2.05.583 or if you have program-related questions, EasyACCT Support is best equipped to review them with you.
We will share updates as more information becomes available. We appreciate your patience and thank you for continuing to share your feedback.
The program is still very slow and inefficient. Automatic posting routines takes 5 minutes or more, loading up any reports takes forever, etc. These issues have been vocalized for several weeks, but have not been properly addressed.
NYS-45 does not work anymore on the new update... I just called Easy ACCT support and they are aware of the issue. How are we supposed to get all of our payroll tax returns filed on time? This is ridiculous.
Unable to print SUTA report after the update.

After update get message - Unable to access data files for company.
I have the same issue. I cannot create print SUTA after the update.
Any fix coming for the INFORMATION RETURN SYSTEM?? We've downloaded the 2025.2.05 update today (1-20-26) but still getting diagnostic errors CF/SF Information - State Information not present for CF. Still cannot access the Transmit Forms/Returns as the program crashes and shuts off once you attempt to view the W2 or 1099s files.
I am having this same issue. OK SUTA Special Report is missing payroll figures.
They pulled the update back. It's not available again.
Yes, I noticed that too. I wasn't going to update considering all the problems everyone was speaking about! Besides, I noticed the update wasn't going to fix my problem!
Thank you.
Is there any timeline as to when the 940s will be allowed to go through or what is happening with those? Thank you.
The update yesterday let me file 940, but I don't receive the confirmation email.
Your best bet is to file your 940 via mail and make your payments in the IRS online system or EFTPS. The IRS address to filing with or without payment can be found online. Also, if your state will allow you to file your SUTA and 941 manually directly to the state, I would suggest doing that too. I know it may be extra work for some, but at least it's getting done! Who knows when Easy Acct will be working properly. I have lost all hope that I will be working with this software in 2026 anytime soon!
My only problem is that if we have already e-filed the 940s and they eventually go through (no confirmations yet on any) and then we mail them, will it create a duplicate filing? The 940 is the only form I have an issue with. 941s go through, and we file all other reports directly with the state agencies.
I agree on use of EASY. I am already searching for another software provider with write-up simplicity. Very disappointing all around, especially communication.
@Kathi_at_Intuit
Please post release notes for version 2025.2.06.594 as soon as possible.
Please see Community post - EasyACCT: Upcoming Product Updates This Week
It contains the latest information about the EasyACCT product.

All 940s have been acknowledged and rejected. I am assuming one we receive the update, we can refile. OR print and mail and forego the efile process for now.
@vscpanm Yes. You are correct. Update EasyACCT and resubmit Form 940.
We are having the same issue. Is there any timeline for a fix?
If anyone finds a good replacement program I'd very much like to know what it is.
Hi @Jamie Love Thanks for posting on the Update post and for sharing the details about the digagnostics and still cannot access the Transmit Forms/Returns as the program crashes and shuts off. We checked on this and transmission files are able to be created for 1099s. We would have to recommend contacting EasyACCT Support. They would be able to take a look at the this with you.
How about fixing the sales journals? Now it's throwing off my financials because it's showing begging balances on the income accounts. This is all way past ridiculous. We have work to get done people.
My 940 forms are being rejected due to "invalid format of banking information" . I cannot find a fix for this. Please help. Notice says to wait for update and resubmit--have done so and 940's are still rejected.
There was an update yesterday and an update today. I ran the update from yesterday and then re-filed the 940s and all were accepted. There was another update today which I have not completed. I'm not sure how but you may have to redo the update from yesterday. The agent said there would be 3 updates: yesterday, today and tomorrow. It could be that one of the later updates will also fix the 940s.
I have just installed update 2025.2.07
I ran the cumulative general ledger, and the sales journal entries are still not posting.
Can you please get this fixed already?
How are we supposed to get our work done? What else is not posting correctly to the cumulative general ledger?
Thank you.
This is a complete disaster. I have not been able to transfer my 3 largest clients, nor can I access their information beginning December 1. My client has given me until January 30 to get this fixed or they are going to find new accounting. I cannot access any of their history, and if I divert back to 2024/2025 version, I cannot file the 2025 W2 forms, quarterly reports, or any 2026 payrolls, a/p or a/r.
The "next" Friday is after the 1/31/26 deadline of filing. What exactly am I supposed to do at this point. Has anyone had any luck printing 2025 W2s on the 2024/25 version of EasyAcct?
Does anyone have a comparable software suggestion with the same components as EasyAcct?
What am I supposed to do if I already did this update early this morning? Is this going to further my problems with both 2025 and 2026 information? I don't know how to "undo" an update.
Call support they will help you restore the sales journals
I have not. I resorted to typing them all in by hand on SS website and at least they're done now. I'm afraid to do any updates at all.
I understand. This means at least 300 forms not including terminated employees. I better get started to have it completed by 1/31.
When setting up a new client we cannot transfer a financial statement design from one client to another and this is a PROBLEM! The error message states, "there is no financial statement design available" when in fact there is! Please advise!
Kathi,
I installed the latest update today 2025.2.08.
The sales journal still does not post to the cumulative general ledger.
What is going on? How and when will this get fixed? Calling support is extremely time consuming.... Heck, I remember being able to call support on Saturdays, during tax season (at least for the month of January) support had extended hours, they were available later, AND on Saturdays.
In the 32 years (yes 32 years!) I have used this program, NEVER EVER, has it been that bad.
Sigh
I finally gave up on getting my sales journals back. I went back and re-entered all the sales in Write up using a journal entry and it seems to be working. I can't wait on Intuit any longer. I just hope they are going to do the right thing and give us a refund for all the trouble we have all been experiencing.
And if they refund us, which they absolutely should, then what? Has anyone found an alternative?
I agree! And it's getting beyond ridiculous that a company as large as Intuit cannot correct issues they created.
Many problems with the update! I've never seen this before with EASY.
Besides the problems you list, I just created a direct deposit file and it did not use the correct bank information. It pulled from a different existing bank account!
After installing the most recent update, 2025.2.09, on January 27, 2025. Earnings and payroll tax information is still not posting to the Payroll Earnings Report, and State unemployment is not present at all. Is there an expected time when this issue will be resolved?
Oh there's PLENTY of issues to move on to from the 940 resolution. It is the worst year ever with EasyAcct.
When entering a new employee and click "save" the screen doesn't close. Also, when moving within a screen under employee, such as earning report, and you want to exit out of that screen and go back to "main" viewing screen, the screen is stuck on the blank grey screen and never transitions to the screen you want to view. I have to hit the ctrl, alt, delete buttons to end task in task manager and then log back in. Also, view is still a problem as it doesn't show the entire screen, it's cut off, you select dates, have to hit the view to minimize the entire screen and the screen is much smaller, this also occurs in accounts receivable, you can't see the line you want to view without dropping to the line below to be able to read the prior line above.
Hi @AZBond Thanks for asking about the sales journals and taking the time to share in the Community. Development is aware of the sales journal posting issue and is actively working toward a resolution. As soon as a fix is available, we will share an update in a related update post so you’ll have clear visibility.
We truly appreciate your patience and your 32 years of loyalty to EayACCT. We know this is a critical time of year, and your feedback is being taken seriously.
Debby, when running the payroll journal, check to run by employee, it will post to the monthly column, then run the earnings report and it will post to the monthly column.
That worked for me after the latest update.
Sales journal is still a mess.......
Good luck!
Hello, Thank you for continuing to share your feedback on the updates. We are gathering all feedback and forwarding it directly to our Development team.
Once a new release is available, we will update the Community with a release post.
We appreciate you taking the time to keep us informed.
I just ran the 1/28/26 update... yet again, EasyAcct has not addressed the large file bug and I cannot access 3 of my largest client's businesses. I have 2 days to keep this client.
Anyone have a replacement software suggestion??
Teresa 10 I am also hoping someone can find a replacement program we can use.
Still cannot even login to the system after the update and was told computer is talking to multiple realms, likely due to the fact we have been using the company over 15 years. I have called daily for a week to be continuously put off by everyone I speak to, I was just told today that I would be added to the investigation to get updates moving forward. They say they just need to merge the realms. 2 days until those 1099 have to be post marked to our customers and this "simple solution" has still not been done. We will be looking for a new tax program and moving forward with passing along any regulatory issues to Intuit as we have documented everything. Is there anyone that can suggest a different program moving forward. I just need something where I can create and record tax documents I send to customers, I do not need the ability to transmit files online to IRS
