Can you help us on "Unable to Access Company File"
We have old computer which runs the old version of EasyAcct 2024/2025 can access the file. But when we open the company file by EasyAcct 2025/2026. it comes out the msg " Unable to Access Company File"
Is anyone else having the issue below?
Not able to print the GL distribution report for December from AP module. It will only print the check register and gives error code 0. Having trouble with it closing out and freezing up when entering multiple invoices and if you click close while in transaction entry it closes the entire program.
I have entire months of live payrolls missing on two of my clients. This is not acceptable for this program. Late approving forms, forms do not work or do not balance. Absolutely ridiculous.
I also have an open ticket for 2025 information return… Printing twice, was not fixed in today’s update
I was sure hoping we weren't the ones with this problem. This is absolutely ridiculous!!!

No way to fix it. Data File Index Repair - completely useless!!!!!!!!!
Nothing I have done so far has worked. How are we supposed to reconcile anything when nothing is posting correctly????????????????????????????????

Gladly would call Support, but it takes an hour to get through or more, and they are not there late.
Support used to have extended hours during January, what happened?

Payroll doesn't post
Sales journal doesn't post
I can't reconcile for W-2s
Can't reconcile the bank because every EVERY sales journal entry is missing.
And support goes home at 4:00 o'clock, while we burn the midnight oil and still can't get our work done.
Will you be paying the penalties????

after installing update 2025.2.09, I found a work-around for the payroll journals not posting in the current month.
Run the payroll journal by employee, and it will post to the monthly column, then run the Earnings report and the monthly figures are filled in.
Also, I put in a sales journal entry in December, hoping to recreate the Dec entries that have completely disappeared, it posted to the general ledger, but I got a run-time error when printing the cumulative general ledger.
So, the sales journal still needs to be fixed, urgently!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Intuit, are you using AI to code your program and fix issues???
Thanks... That seemed to work. Got to double check all the figures. It does appear running the summary by employee not check number was the key. I have no confidence in this program right now.
Is Intuit actually going to get this software working the way it should anytime soon, or are we going to have to run several updates each week? We are on number 9 and each update fixes some issues but not others and causes new ones. Now I can't enter new employees information and save. The screen freezes and then run time error. While entering transactions, get run-time errors and software crashes. And of course each time you have to re-enter password and get a code to get back in. Once you enter a payroll check and click next, nothing happens, you have to close and go back in to payroll entry to enter others. The payroll earnings report is 0.00 after entering payroll checks. And I can go on but don't want to spend any more time.
EasyAcct is running very slow this morning, taking about 15 minutes to exit the program !!!
o m gosh.....................people..................when i move a client from one directory to another ( like off personal computer to server directory ) IT IS LOSING MY CLIENT..............
THIS IS COMPLETELY BEYOND RIDICULOUS. I DONT KNOW WHO YOU HAVE CODING THIS PROGRAM BUT THEY NEED FIRED IMMEDIATELY.
I SUPPOSE WHEN YOU LOSE ALL YOUR CLIENTS, MAYBE YOU WILL FIGURE IT OUT.
2025 Cumulative General Ledger still has errors and will not process (I have done all updates through 2025.2.09), shows: The following error has occurred: With the error number: 0 Please exit EasyACCT and try again. Exiting the software does not fix. Printed general ledger for each month in 2025 hoping it would correct, but that did not work either. Please advise.
After the 3rd update, my payroll reports began to show zero on the Earnings/taxes page after I posted the checks. The report was printing properly until I did the post. One of the other computers in the office hadn't been updated and it was fine. I went back to the original easy act download and reloaded the whole program. That solved the problem. There were a couple of things that weren't working right, but I wasn't completely shut down. I don;t know if that can help larger companies, but small ones that have stand alone programs should be able to function. I will not do any updates until I feel EA has gotten their act together.
