Looking for suggestions on what others are doing to e-file 1094-C and 1095-C forms since the Information System does not seems to support that. Is there another software/provider recommended for that?
are you saying EasyACCT does not create the appropriate file type? I believe the file should be a .XML file. Does Information return create a text file? If so you need to find a text editor to convert it from a .txt file to a .XML file.
How many 1095-Cs do you need to file?
@TaxGuyBill Need to file about 65 this year.
You can paper file as long as it's less than 10 forms. The deadline for mailing is Feb 28th.
Anything more than 10 has to Efile through the IRS's AIR system and the deadline is March 31st. You will need a separate TCC #. You can request a waiver but it's recommended to do so 45 days before the due date.
There are options to file with a 3rd party. Just for a Google search.
A final thought is, is the Insurance carrier going to file? (It may be redundant),
As far as I can tell, the Information System does not create the file type needed to use the IRS AIR system. Does anyone else have experience with this or know of a way to do it?
