Wondering if is possible to stop a client’s tax return for being forwarded to the IRS after is been received by Intuit E-filing process. Client has just called me and telling me that he has received a W-G form for unemployment. And need to be included in her tax returns. I don’t know if we can do this adjustment. Thank you, Hi Gustavo – Here’s the answer from our tax team: Unfortunately, Intuit will not be rejecting filings back if a customer found a need to modify it. I believe that was included in the initial customer messaging. Essentially, once the return is filed, it is considered filed with the agency. Only if the return gets rejected will they be able to modify the original. Otherwise they will need to wait for the Accepted filing and then Amend the return. The good news is that if it is a federal return, they can e-file the amended filing, along with a handful of 1040 states.
