Either way, be sure to remain aware of this month’s tax and compliance deadlines, and be sure to share this list with your clients. In June, it is recommended that you: Review estimated tax payments: Confirm that individual and corporate clients have made their 2nd quarter estimated tax payments. Conduct mid-year tax planning: Reach out to business clients for mid-year financial reviews and proactive tax planning. Verify payroll compliance: Ensure all May payroll deposits (Form 941, Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return) are made and check for any discrepancies. Consider attending a professional education conference, and include an extended day or two to relax. Key Compliance Dates Tuesday, June 10—Tips reporting for May. Monday, June 16: Second installment of 2025 estimated tax (individuals and corporations). Monthly payroll tax deposit for May (Form 941). US taxpayers living and working abroad must file 2024 tax return by this date. Wednesday, June 25—Communications and air transportation taxes deposit for the last 16 days of May. Friday, June 27—Regular method excise taxes deposit for the first 15 days of June. Monday, June 30: Wagering tax (Form 730, Monthly Tax Return for Wagers) and Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax (Form 2290, Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax Form) for May due.
