Redesigned U.S. ProAdvisor Program

Read the Article

Twenty-one years ago, Intuit® released the “QuickBooks Professional Advisors Program.” Founder Scott Cook declared the goal of the program was to help accounting professionals take a more proactive role in helping their clients achieve maximum financial success while using QuickBooks®.

While our product offerings have evolved over the years, our commitment to fueling your and your clients’ success rings as true today as ever.

That’s why we’re excited to announce an evolution in the ProAdvisor® Program, redesigned to recognize more of the work you do with new and innovative benefits.

“Our goal is to create a partner program that recognizes and supports our accountants so they can accelerate their growth within Intuit’s ecosystem,” says Julie Chen, Global Leader for the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program, Intuit QuickBooks. “We recognize the value accountants bring to their clients and to the profession – and want to make it even easier and more rewarding to participate in the ProAdvisor Program.”

Intuit spent the past year actively seeking feedback from ProAdvisors via one-on-one interviews, surveys, focus groups and in-person events to learn how the program can help you face the challenges of today’s ever-changing global accounting landscape. The redesigned program is a result of your feedback and input in an effort to be a better partner to you and create a program that furthers your success and growth.

New Point Structure

Now, there are more ways to move up the tiers, and unlock new and better benefits. The program was recently updated to a points structure that recognizes more of the work you already do. Instead of just counting QuickBooks Online clients and certification to move up the tiers, you’ll now be granted points for your current and new QuickBooks accounting, self-employed, and QuickBooks Online Payroll clients, plus active certifications. If you are part of a team under the same QuickBooks Accountant firm all your points will be aggregated together to help you move up the tiers more quickly.

The new point system was crafted to recognize the work you do and give you more flexibility in moving up the tiers and unlocking new benefits. Points are accumulated based on all members in the same QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) firm through the completion of actions.

To earn points, complete the following:

  • Add a QuickBooks Online subscription for a client – 50 points per client
  • Add a QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription for a client – 25 points per client
  • Add a QuickBooks Online Payroll subscription for a client – 50 points per client
  • Complete certification for QuickBooks Online – 100 points per user in firm
  • Complete advanced certification for QuickBooks Online – 200 points per user in firm
  • Purchase ProAdvisor Deluxe or Premium for desktop – 100 points capped one per firm
  • Complete certification for QuickBooks Desktop – 100 points per user in firm

Based on your firm’s total points balance, you are placed in one of the four tiers: Silver (0 to 199 points), Gold (200 to 799 points), Platinum (800 to 1,599 points) or our newest tier, Elite (1,600+ points). The Elite tier recognizes and rewards the most engaged firms by offering all the benefits of the previous tiers, and then some. For client subscriptions (QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Self Employed, QuickBooks Online Payroll), the connected accountant will receive points as long as they are connected to the account, and the account has an active subscription.

ProAdvisors can see their point balance any time by logging into QBOA and accessing the ProAdvisor tab. Learn more about ways to earn in the redesigned program.

Additional Benefits

We’ve added more benefits across all the tiers, without removing any of the benefits you enjoyed prior to this launch.

In addition to the training, customer support and software discounts you have today, the new program offers even more ways to help you market and grow your firm. Some of the benefits we’ve included:

  • Special ProAdvisor discounts for Constant Contact™ to help you develop deeper connections with your clients through regular email campaigns.
  • Access to the new ProAdvisor Merchandise Store so that you can showcase your expertise around town with QuickBooks gear.
  • Access to the new Intuit Marketing Hub to tap into our expansive library of marketing resources, guides and templates.

These changes will not impact your Find-a-ProAdvisor listing. For more information about the changes, check out these FAQs.

While change can be difficult, one thing is not changing: a program that provides training, support and discounts to accounting and bookkeeping professionals just like you to help grow your firm, improve your expertise and market your services.

If you’re not already a member, check out the benefits and join today. In addition, we welcome your feedback at any time – simply log in to QBOA, go to the ProAdvisor tab, click on the Gear icon in the top right corner and select “Feedback.”
