The good news is there are no more late nights at the office, at least for a few months. The not-so-good news? It’s time to catch up on the full impact of tax reform. Quite a few firms and publications started podcasts this year in response to all of the changes; each one has its own focus, whether it’s state and local tax, international tax and even growing your firm. Here’s a list of podcasts, in no particular order, I recommend you listen to through your favorite streaming service: Tax Notes Talk: Features biweekly updates on tax issues and developments from influential thought leaders in the tax community. Bloomberg BNA Talking Tax: Covers tax issues from Capitol Hill to the courts and the IRS. Current Federal Tax Developments: Devoted to current developments in federal taxes geared toward CPAs in tax practice. Ernst & Young ITS Washington Dispatch: Brings listeners the latest developments in U.S. tax news. Spidell’s California Minute: Dedicated to providing California tax news snippets with tips and hot topics. Simply Tax: Offers plain talk about tax with Damien Martin, CPA. Growing Your Firm: From Jetpack Workflow, features tips, tactics, and strategies on how to grow a firm. KPMG TWIST: Known as “This Week in State Tax,” TWIST features a series of short podcasts hosted by tax professionals who cover state and local tax developments dating from the previous week. Editor’s note: Happy learning! For more education, check out Intuit® ProConnect™ free webinars, many of which include CPE credit.
