Generating Form 8915-F in ProConnect Tax

Before you start:

  • The 8915-F is a new form starting in tax year 2021 for Qualified Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions and Repayments.
  • The 8915-E was for entering and tracking coronavirus-related retirement plan distributions.
  • The information from Form 8915-F and 8915-E will be e-filed with the tax return as an IRS approved statement.

For tax year 2021 and newer

  1. Open the Individual return.
  2. Go to Input Return Income Pensions, IRAs (1099-R)
  3. Enter the information from the 1099-R.
  4. Select the Details button.
  5. Select the tab for Form 8915 (Qualified Disaster Relief for Retirement Plans).
  6. Check the box for the appropriate tax year of the qualified disaster.
  7. Complete the required information.
