How to change a client's status (active or inactive) in ProConnect Tax

While ProConnect Tax does not have a delete option, you can make a client inactive to prevent it from showing up in your client list, or make an inactive client active again.

To do so, follow these steps:

To make a client inactive:

  1. Select the client you want to remove.
  2. Select the down arrow by the Edit Client button on the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select the option to Make inactive.
  4. You'll get a pop up message asking if you're sure you want to do this. Select Yes only if you're absolutely sure you've selected the correct client.
  5. You'll see a small banner pop up at the top of the screen letting you know that this client is now inactive.

To make a client active:

  1. Within the Clients tab, select View inactive clients.
  2. Select the client you want to make active.
  3. On the top right corner, select Make active.

Your client will now be active again, and will show up in your clients tab.
