Resolving Access Violation when starting the eSignature Send widget in Lacerte

This issue will occur when the Client Copy is included in the esignature request but Items to print for the Client Copy are not selected.  

Error from the eSignature Send Widget: TESigRequestFrm" errmessage="Client#:
Access violation at address 0154FB2A in module 'w24tax.exe'.
Error from the 1-Click eSignture Widget:errmessage="OneClickEsigWidgetLaunchError : Client#:
Access violation at address 0154FB2A in module 'w24tax.exe'

To resolve:

  1. Go to the Settings menu and select Options.
  2. Go to the Items to Print tab and select Client under the Copy section.
  3. In the Print order - Client Copy section, select Defaults or check the desired items to print with the client copy.
  4. Select OK to save the changes.
  5. Try eSignatures again.
