Using in-product Form Help for Lacerte

While on the Forms section of Lacerte, you may come across a line that needs additional context, or isn't populated with the expected content. This is where you can take advantage of Form Help.

Form Help provides in-product assistance by opening a webpage with relevant information to help you determine how a line is calculated.

Turning on Form Help

The Form Help box located at the top of the screen while on the Forms tab.

Once this box is checked, this feature is turned on. A blue question mark icon just like the one displayed next to the checkbox will appear on any line on the form in which Form Help is available. 

Using Form Help

Right click on any line where you see the blue icon and select Form Help from the dropdown menu. Your browser will then open a new window with information for that line.

When the page opens, it will jump directly to the section containing the relevant information for the line you were working on.
