Spouse - due diligence needed?

Taxpayer got married in 2023...she says.  The spouse listed on F1095 is not the man she married in 2023.

For 2022, she said she was single. She didn't mention the mystery man.

Is she scamming someone or somebody? Perhaps fraudulently getting health insurance at a lower rate?

I don't think there is any investigation I need to do or further questions I need to ask related to preparting their 2023 1040.

The mystery man is a former spouse that is still on the plan?  Maybe she is one of those that divorces and marries every couple of years.

Another fact is that the mystery man was NOT listed on the 1095 for 2022.

I am going with your idea that she has a tumultuous love life.

If you keep preparing her returns long enough maybe someday you will be on her list for potential future spouses 😜

You are funny.  Currently, I have a list of potential future ex-spouses. It is a list of one and that is enough.
