I am trying to file an S corp tax return. It is the second year of filing, but I suspect that a proper S election has not been filed. Is there any way of getting this filed electronically, short of trying to file as a C corp??

I find it amazing that google reveals tons of help articles for reject codes https://www.google.com/search?q=R0000-900-01 but none for Intuit. Maybe one of these from a competitor will help you resolve the issue. Quick glance says you are right.
If they filed S-Corp before, do they have a copy of the election?
Answers are easy. Questions are hard!
