I have for years claimed my partner (not married) as a dependent on my tax return. He has no income other than SSA Retirement. He also has a 1095-A for 2019 and the premium tax credit. He is not being allowed to file his own taxes because he has a dependent on my taxes. Not a huge deal. I added his 1095-A to my taxes and the 8962 was auto completed (using TurboTax). It reduced my refund by his total tax credit. Why is this. Also, how am supposed to complete this? Based on the 8962, it shows he is not eligible for the premium tax credits because MY income is now being considered. HELP
