Subscribe to receive updates on Diagnostics

It would be great to have the option to receive updates on diagnostics so preparers can know when they can proceed with reviewing and filing a tax return. We've seen countless diagnostics this tax season requiring preparers to wait for PTO or a government agency to take action on some item before the diagnostic can be resolved. Right now, preparers need to check the diagnostics tab on returns to see when the diagnostics go away so the preparer can proceed with reviewing and filing the return. The update would be an email from Intuit or an alert in PTO saying "Update on critical diagnostic for John Doe - click here for additional details." Preparers could then read more to see updates and when the diagnostic is resolved.

Updates or a "last updated/reviewed" field for diagnostics that let preparers know when the matter was last reviewed, updated, and worked on by someone at Intuit would allow preparers to know the issue is actively being work on. This would save unnecessary outreaches to customer service, saving both Intuit and preparers' time and money.

For example, I'm waiting on a critical diagnostic to go away so that I can e-file a particular state income tax return. I have to check the return to see if the diagnostic goes away because Intuit doesn't provide any updates. If I could subscribe to receive a notification with updates on this diagnostic, I won't have to check to see if this return is ready to be e-filed every day, be let down that it's not ready yet, wonder whether anyone at Intuit it actively working on resolving this, and reach out to PTO support for updates.
