originally filed return versus copy

psmitcpa1

When i made a copy of the original return, the Copy says "Original" behind it and the other file has all the filing history (efile status, etc.).  This seems backwards.   I cannot unlock the file labeled "original" because PTO support says that contains all the original data.  But i can make changes to the file that can be unlocked that has the efiling history.   Confusing.  Lacerte would allow the preparer to name the copied file whatever they woudl want - such as add "plng" for a tax planning file, or "cpy" for a copy.   This is confusing.
