For self employed health insurance premiums not deducted on the federal return, Missouri allows a choice between a credit or a subtraction from gross income. ProConnect provides for this choice on the Other Credits, MO Credits input form and it seems to give the correct result in that a credit is calculated and Form MO-A is not populated with a subtraction for the premiums.
For NON self employed health insurance premiums not deducted on the federal return, Missouri allows a subtraction from gross income on Form MO-A, Line 13. Unfortunately, if you choose a credit for self employed health insurance premiums above, the ProConnect program does not calculate a subtraction for the NON self employed health insurance premiums. The credit/subtraction switch for self employed health insurance premiums erroneously blocks a subtraction for NON self employed health insurance premiums.
You can override this error by with an entry on the MO Modifications input sheet, but that eliminates the ability to efile.
I would like ProConnect to correct this programming error so it generates a correct and efileable return.
