Every time I print the tax return from the software, the cover letter to client (the 1st page of the PDF file) always show the current date on top right of the letter. However the content of the cover letter always saying "your tax return WILL BE electronically filed with the IRS.....". The current date is very confusing to client and to me as well especially when I need to print the tax return after it's filed. Can the software be modified to freeze the date on the cover letter to the filing date of the tax return? If the tax return has not been filed, it's okay to have the current date printed on the letter.
Thanks for the idea to freeze date on cover letter to the date of the tax return. We are changing the status to "Open for voting" since it is no longer considered "New".
