The Problem:
While the Tax Plan feature is excellent for internal side-by-side analysis (e.g., comparing Solo 401(k) contribution scenarios), the "Save as PDF" functionality breaks this layout. Instead of a side-by-side comparison, the PDF exports scenarios sequentially—often spanning 4+ pages. This makes it difficult for clients to visualize the direct impact of different tax strategies without flipping back and forth between pages.
The Solution:
Side-by-Side PDF Layout: Update the PDF export engine to maintain the column-based comparison view seen on-screen, allowing for a professional, "at-a-glance" presentation for clients.
Customizable Scenario Titles: Allow users to rename "Case 1," "Case 2," etc., to more descriptive labels like "Max 401(k) Contribution" or "Standard Deduction vs. Itemized."
Why this matters:
The value of tax planning is in the comparison. A side-by-side PDF allows us to show immediate value to our clients in a format that is easy for them to digest and approve.
