Submitted by French_Legal on 04-20-2023 04:52 PM1040-NR Box 1(h) needs to be made available to report non-W-2 based income. That's where this income is reported, so why is that box inaccessible? It should pick up all 1042-S income. We shouldn't be reporting 1042-S income using Schedule 1 in order to have it properly reflect on the 1040-NR?
Intuit should consider forming a nonresident alien tax advisory group if there isn't sufficient knowledge about this form.

Thanks for the idea to make Box 1(h) available in 1040-NR to report non-W-2 based and 1042-S income. We are changing the status to "Open for voting" since it is no longer considered "New".
