My first year using ProConnect. I just noticed that on all the returns, the client's first and last name are being populated in the first name section on the face of the 1040. I double checked that I input the correct first/last name in both the client profile as well as in the client information within the return. Is this normal?

I want to double check as I know that the IRS uses the last name and the SSN# to validate identity.

    Thanks!

That's just how it prints on the paper form.  I would have preferred the middle initial to appear in its rightful place but it wouldn't impact the matching of SSN, which uses only up to the first 4 characters of the last name.
