What tax forms do i need to file for a client looking to file her Social security income and rental property? I usual file W2 or 1099 and have not helped with this type of client situation yet.

you need the statement from Social Security that shows what was paid and what was withheld. Te rental income you show on sch E.

Don't forget depreciation & F 4562.

I would start with SS Benefits and Rental and Royalty Income (Schedule E). The Schedule E, generally entails doing Depreciation.Where to 1.jpg

You may also want to look into QBI.Where to 2.jpg

You are working on the 1040. You will see she got a 1099-SSA from Social Security. You don't issue these. You enter the info from these.
