renumbering partners

trying to use the same partner numbers from prior platform and i got the sequence wrong.  How do i change the numbers.  The software keeps adding on where the numbers left off!

I don't think you can. Either live with it or delete them and start over.

Tried that already.  The software doesn't forget the partners that have been deleted.  It wants to start with the next number in the old sequence.  I'm AMAZED at some of the simple things the software can't do.

Does Intuit solicit input regularly from the accounting community?
