Re: NYS amended 2021 efile rejecting

So I amended 2021 fed and NYS returns. Everything updated and error free. The fed 1040X transmitted just fine and accepted. The NYS efile rejected with the following error: "The submission is a duplicate of one that was previously received. Please contact customer support."

Being an amended return, of course they received one before, smh.

Any thoughts on how to make this fly? Or do we need to paper file?

Is the NY one actually marked as amended?

The more I know the more I don’t know.

Yes, checked off amended and it is a 201X.
