NY Preparer Exclusion Code in Proconnect for a Self-Prepared Return

Hi all - 

I'm getting a "critical" EF error stating that I must select an exclusion code for my NY state return.  I am using Proconnect for my own return, and have tagged it as "Self-Prepared" but am still getting the error.

Has anyone come across this and is able to help?

Hi @TakakoF , even filing your own return for New York you must either have a New York Preparer id (NYTPRIN) or you must meet the exclusion code requirements.  Either of those items would need to be present in Settings --> Preparer Information for yourself.  If not, you would have to print and paper file the return.  If you need further assistance, please contact our office How to Contact ProConnect Support .
