Any info on how the state of Maryland will make the the first 10,200 of the 2020 unemployment ?

Can I efile the updated Federal Return  without the state.?  Or should I wait for  Maryland  after the state decides how they will make the first 10,200 unemployment benefits nontaxable for the Maryland..

I think Maryland was ahead of the feds and had already passed legislation regarding unemployment, but I don't think that legislation is in place yet in their tax forms.

MD decided Feb 15. You are waiting for the release of the tax forms.

I'd wait for MD to get their 💩 updated. Could be a while since their law passed before the federal one and has different income thresholds. You have until July 15 to file MD so maybe you'll file federal and then wait.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
