    Allocated Form 8962 e-file rejection

I'm getting an error when trying to allocate 0% of the 1095-A policy to a married child of the policy holder.  It is telling me that PTC needs to be entered, but can't be on an allocated return...thus need to paper file.  Is this correct or am I mis-entering the 1095-a information somehow?

If 0% then why are you even entering anything?

Intuit doesn't file a 8962 with a 0% allocation (I don't know if it is an Intuit problem or an IRS problem; my guess is Intuit).

I would print-to-PDF the 8962 showing the 0% allocation.  Then attach that PDF under the category "ACA Explanation".

Thank you.  That's a great suggestion.  I understand that the IRS allows 0%, so I think it is Intuit.  I will try this and hopefully it will not reject.

    Thanks,

It is required by the IRS if the serial number on the return lives on someone's 1095-a.  SHould be able to allocate 0% to my return and 100% to the policy holder's return...but Intuit doesn't seem to like it.

How about using .01 or 1%. Does that make it work and not change anything?
