Since the client names don't match, importing from QBO doesn't work for the client in ProConnect that already has a return set up and waiting for import.
How do I make all the clients work correctly between QBO and ProConnect without paying for more unused returns??
Thank you!
You didn't start from the Prep for Taxes step, but rather, started in ProConnect first?
Have you edited their name fields in QBO portal?
"Use the Display Name field for the 1040's name, and the Company Name field for the individual's name."
This is for a nonprofit - Form 990; this happened between last year and this year. I probably corrected their name in Pro Connect (added the Inc.) so their 990 would be correct last year. But, in QBO their name is without the Inc. When I tried to add the data from QBO for 2022, it said there wasn't a tax return in ProConnect, but there was - for the Inc. version. Ugh! I just want to be able to fix it for 2023.
