Partnership Filing; Federal Accepted, State Rejected - TX Annual Report

EBC7
Level 1

I have a client who operates a general partnership. When filing their 1065, the federal was accepted but their Texas filing was rejected because of their account number, which they don't have. It didn't click sooner, but I've deleted their Texas filing as they are not required to file and they would fall under the threshold regardless.

Can I leave the Tax filing as is and not have to resubmit anything as their federal shows accepted, or do I still need to do something?

Don't they still have to file the annual report for TX?

I think you can look up their entity number at Texas Secretary of State/Corporations Commission or whatever it is called.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
