I tried it two ways, and neither worked. I checked it on the list of standard documents, along with the Federal 8879 and another state. After several attempts, I sent the Federal 8879, the other state request, and a copy of the return to the client, knowing the New York form was missing.
I tried to create a 2nd authorization request, this time with only TR-579-IT. After selecting it, the next screen has no documents listed and asked me to add documents to sign. I didn't want to do that.
Therefore, it seems that it is a bug in ProConnect Tax. Any suggestions?
When you are doing a NY return, it shows multiple TR-579's. Don't unselect any of them. You can unselect the NYC/MCMT ones, but the TR-579-IT and the TR-579-IT(CREDIT) need to be left checked.
