Medicare wages are being combined from tax payer and spouse to propagate to an 8959. Shouldn't 8959 only pertain to one of the earners not a combination?

Why is this program incorrectly combining earner medicare wages with the spouse wages and then incorrectly assessing an 8959 Additional Medicare Tax?  Shouldn't they be treated separately?

There is one 8959 and one calculation; using all Medicare wages and self employment income.

Since it's based on $200k single or $250k married, you want it to include Both. That's to their benefit.
